Just had a 2 minute lockup. Top showed nothing as it stopped working during the lockup.
Did you try ssh using PuTTY from your vista machine?

Yes I got PuTTY on the Vista machine. I have ssh'd (is that the correct term ?) into the SuSE machine and now am waiting for a lockup to occur with top running under a root login. Is that the correct utility to run for this purpose ? So far the SuSE machine has behaved itself. I have even removed the CPUFREQ=no bios=nomsi from /etc/lilo.conf and rebooted the pc to see if I can force a "lockup" I will let you know if and when something happens. -- Clive. http://homepage.ntlworld.com/c.rogers/ Fighting for darker skies.
