How do I configure samba on openSUSE(I'm running 11.0) without a password under YaST? I know how to go back in and edit the /etc/samba/samba.conf file manually, but I've never been able to get YaST to configure it properly. It always asks for a password when I try to connect, but no matter what password I setup it never works. I've always had to edit the file by hand to "fix" what YaST should have been able to do. One of the reason's I stick with openSUSE is YaST, but this is something that I have never been able to get to work properly. I figure I'm missing something simple, but I have no idea. Thanx
Well, if you use kde4, it is simple. The kde-sambamodule is not implemented, and there you set accept guestlogins, without password. About KDE3 in 11, i don't know, kde3 used to have the kde-sambamodule, but i am not using kde3 anymore..
