Hi!

Thanks, I found one that should help me going as I happen to have a working linux (grup) there. However, most guides (and all relevant to me) seem to be for the older versions.
Most of guides are still valid, although clear version mark would make new to the field more comfortable that article is not obsolete.
I've tried the PXE before and unfortunately I could not get it to work. At that time it seemed extremely complicated. Would be nice to have a kind of PXE server, where you just enter the DVD-iso and then boot the other computers with PXE to start the installation. I'm sure it's a little bit more complicated than that in reality, but at least Knoppix has it very easy.
Nice to know about Knoppix. If you know what version and what media (DVD or CD) has that feature. You can anyway copy DVD on one computer and export directory as NFS share. YaST installer is fine with NFS, and that is not more work than PXE.
Anyways, I'll go with one of those guides. I'll first try the 11.0 in VirtualBox though to see what it looks like. :-)
It looks good. If you want real test go with Live CD. It will tell how compatible is your hardware, and if all looks fine, than you can start installation and add NFS as additional source. -- Regards, Rajko http://en.opensuse.org/Portal needs helpful hands. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
