I need some help, For years I have been used to the graphical presentation and operation of windows. and now I took up the challenge of exploring linux and lately opensuse/ gnome. I have win xp on the primary drive and opensuse on the second drive. Everything , almost everything works fine exept the modem.. I have a USB Robotics USB modem, works fine with wind xp but is not visible on opensuse. How do I find or install it, I am just a novice in non-graphical presentation.
In Windows xp I would go to; start, controlpanel, system, hardware, device mgr, port. Then I notice my USB modem listed as com1, How do I find it and activate it in Opensuse?
