You can't do much with the Desktop. I can't even drag a file on the desktop to a folder. it reminds me of when I had to use XFCE and have a file manager open all the time. Please tell me I'm missing something.
You aren't and is one reason, among many, that I refuse to install KDE 4 anywhere. Eventually, "4" will be great, but it's a long way off, IMHO.
