I've just bought a DVD Recorder/VCR with the idea of transferring my old VHS tapes to DVD. I've tried a couple and it has worked well and I now have the recorded on DVD. However, when I put them in to my computer to play them I find that they produce error messages along the lines of "source cannot be read" and stuff about not having sufficient rights. However, the same DVD's play without any problems under Windows XP, and I have not problems playing commercial video DVD's under Linux. I would be grateful if anyone knows of a way around this, as I use Linux 99% of the time. Secondly, does anyone know of my legal position (I'm in the UK) can I just take this equipment back? Thanks and just in case anyone is interested the equipment is a Philips DVDR3512V (a standalone DVD and VHS recorder) Eddie -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
