I'm not sure if with krfb/krdc you can do this. You can attach to an existing session though. For what you want, to actually open a remote sesson, then close the connection, and later to reconnect, you can use nxserver (there is free version, but closed source: http://www.nomachine.com/), or GPLed version freenx (http://freenx.berlios.de/). There are freenx (server and client) packages in opensuse 10.3 repositories.
