Hi all, In SuSE Linux 9.x I used to be able to reset the root password in the /etc/shadow file to nul, and could reboot without password and give a new one. I have read somewhere that this loophole was removed in later OpenSUSE versions. I actually tried to do the same trick in OpenSUSE 10.3; no go. Is there another way to delete or reset the root password if U can't remember it any more on OpenSUSE versions? :-) Al -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
