Welll... you're right Felix. Except that when I installed 10.3 I didn't realize the consequences of libata and also that I could have kept the legacy option, and yes, I did read the release notes. Unfortunately what is done is done and I understand there is no going back.
What makes you think no going back? --
I am pretty sure that I read on this list that the option for choosing the legacy drivers was only at installation time.

Nope. If you do choose to use the legacy driver you will need to also modify your fstab file accordingly.
Hmmmm.....Really !! How do I do that ? From the install DVD? I certainly wouldn't mind hand editing the fstab files.
Hmmmm....No response from Felix or Ken, nor any comment from Carlos who suffers the same malady as I, Sooooo...guys, can you, or cannot you "go back" and if you can, how do you do it??? Is it at every boot? or can you fix it permanently?? Bob S -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
