[opensuse] Using yast to configure Mail transfer agent

Hi, I'm trying to use Yast to configure mail server and when you go through the configuration screens I get "A problem occurred while connecting to LDAP server." and when I select "show details" I get "init". But LDAP server is up and running and I can open the database with "Browse LDAP" and command line. I have increased the log level in LDAP but nothing showing in the log file, I can see the trace when I connect using other client but not the yast mail plugin. Am I missing something.
