I have downloaded and "installed" firefox beta 3 to my /home/kai/apps/firefox folder.
I have icons set to launch it from there.
Now, I want to enable my existing java/flash plugins. I am assuming I'd need to create some sort of symbolic link. I've googled and am not quite sure what to do (my only reference is someone who did this with ubuntu using apt).
export MOZ_PLUGIN_PATH=/usr/lib/browser-plugins
I typed that and nothing happened. Was there something else I needed to do?
I'm using this as my test site

Snaaaake, it's a snaaaaake....
Haha cute -
In any case, you have 2 other options on the plugins. I did it the old school way:
cd /usr/local/firefox ln -s /usr/lib/browser-plugins/*
Tried that. Failed.
or, you could just use the firefox package from build service and let the system handle the details.
didn't find one, but I got it working with the shell script... -- kai www.filesite.org || www.4thedadz.com || www.perfectreign.com remember - a turn signal is a statement, not a request -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
