It seems there is a packaging problem with the updated kde4 packages. kdebase4-session (currently still on version 4.0.2-2.1) and the updated version of kdebase4-runtime (4.0.3-5.1) both contain /usr/bin/kde4. The problem is that without kdebase4-session kde4 does not show up in kdm because now the system is lacking /usr/share/xsessions/kde4.desktop, and copying that file into place from the unpacked rpm fails without any errors being logged. Anyways, just thought I should mention it here as it's still a brand new release and might not warrant a bug report just yet.
