Dual head support is "variable" depending on your card and driver. Attached is my xorg.conf. however you configure your system note the "dual..." settings like those below.
good luck.. wcn

: Check out xrandr. I use it to select the resolution of the monitor I'm currentlh "looking" at. Of course it only allows you to choose between resolutions actually configured in you server's config (which was likely done via SAX). Your monitor could be blank because your video output is out of range. Selecting an "in range" resolution might help. I find linux very weak in the area of external monitor(s). There are lots of times I look stupid because I can't make my linux laptop work with some old projector and I have to resort to using someone's old windows box. sigh.. wcn

Hi guys, i using SUse 10.3 for 32 bit . I need to connect to a large monitor or projector to display my screen for presentation. My situation is this. I connect my laptop to a samsung lcd monitor. on the loading page, it is able to display on the samsung lcd. But once my machine loads the desktop, the lcd monitor display blacks out and the client dislay is never on the lcd display again.
Once i boot off, it comes up the boot off screen, the lcd display the details on my laptop display again.
What is the problem behind it? How to set up? Required guidance on this urgent matter.
regards chongming
there is probably a key on your keyboard to switch between the two screens, but this one don't works always.
you can also try sax2 (or yast, display), there are option to configure two displays at the same time
