Unfortunately, reiserfs burned me in a power failure situation.
In contrast, my laptop suffered a couple power failures (generator maintenance on base which was typically 4+ hours), and with XFS, I have suffered no problems.
I have been burned by reiserfs, xfs, and ext3. My xfs problem was so bad that the recovery program crashed. That was with opensuse 10.1, 10.2, 10.3, and finally, it was solved a month or two ago - remember an xfsprogs upgrade to 2.9.4-17.1 at the end of January? That was it. - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
