Hi,
Running opensuse 10.3 on IBM T40 laptop with kde4 as my desktop. If the screensaver is running and has locked the screen, I am unable to log in at the 'switch user/unlock' screen and have to log in at a console window and kill krunner_lock to free up the desktop again. I see in /var/log/messages that kcheckpass has returned an authentication failure but if I run kcheckpass manually it works fine.
I have attempted a google search and a search of the archives but did not uncover a solution. Does anyone here know a solution?
Thank you! I also had password failures until I realized that it was including the spacebar hit to get the screen going in the first place after a screen lock (close of the laptop lid). Silly, but try a back-space before you enter your password.
Sorry, on re-reading your msg, I think you are speaking of the KDE4 screen saver. I was speaking of the recovery when I close the lid on my Thinkpad R40... Tom in NM -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
