I am running openSUSE 10.2 with VMWare 6.0.2. In that, I have openSUSE 10.2 installed as a guest. When I am working in the 10.2 guest, almost all single mouse clicks are interpreted as double clicks. I have tried on an existing VMWare image and on a clean 10.2 guest install (both with the latest VMWare Tools RPM installed and configured).
I searched around, and found several other people reporting the same issue, but no solutions offered. Anyone here know of anything that will fix this?

I guess you use KDE desktop. If so the single click interpretation you have reported is usual for KDE. I have never had any troubles with that, though you could try finding this option in KDE settings. Use "Configure Desktop". SDA
Yes I am using the KDE desktop. This isn't a KDE "feature" though... this also happens out in the KDE login screen. I am not talking about how KDE works with single click.. I know how KDE works :-) I've been using it for almost 10 years now :-) I should have mentioned that. If I click on a user in the list of available users, it usually double clicks when I want a single click. This is something to do with openSUSE in general as installed in the VM. For example http://www.mail-archive.com/linux-input@vger.kernel.org/msg00039.html but I am not using the kernel in this bug report.. I am using 2.6.18.5-0-5.... but I still have the "false double clicks" problem. The reason I ask about this is that this is a new problem from a previously working VM (I copied it). I reinstalled my host OS (a reinstall of 10.2) and then installed VMWare.. and copied the working, previously installed 10.2 guest over and started it up. This is when the false double clicks started showing up. Now a single click on a desktop icon (for example) will launch the application twice. Rather frustrating and annoying.... and I hope to find a way to stop it.... C -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
