Listmates: I am trying to chase down a problem that causes sax2 to freeze when trying to configure the display on my Toshiba P35 laptop running 10.3. The driver is the ATI 9600/9700 and all new ATI drivers were built and installed per www2.ati.com. The display works great. Hardware acceleration works great. The problem is that if I try and look at, or change, anything with sax2, the machine will freeze requiring a hard reset. Killing the display with ctrl+alt+bs doesn't even work. The only error I can find in Xorg.0.log is the following: (II) fglrx(0): POWERplay version 3. 1 power state available: (II) fglrx(0): 1. 392/196MHz @ 60Hz [enable load balancing] (EE) fglrx(0): === [swlDalHelperAddCustomizeMode] === CWDDEDI_DisplayGetSetModeTimingOverride failed: 2 (**) fglrx(0): Qbs disabled (==) fglrx(0): FAST_SWAP disabled Does this error matter? Could it be the problem? Any help will be greatly appreciated. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
