[09-23-07 10:37]: I wonder why one can't launch smart anymore from the kde-menu. In the past I always called smart from the menu. Until recently this worked perfect for me but after a update of kdebase I could't use this methode anymore. Adding /usr/bin/ in front of smart in kmenuedit didn't help either.
and changing the smart entry in kmenu (w/kmenuedit) from smart or /usr/bin/smart to kdesu -c "smart --gui"
will allow the same action as the <alt><f2> entry you descripe below:
What helped for me was [alt]+[f2] kdesu -c 'smart --gui' or in the root console smart --gui
The entries/commands in kmenu and <alt><f2> are just graphically accessable replacements for command line entries/actions.
Sorry but on my machines this seems not to work. Calling smart from kmenu results is this: commando -- gui not found You can find a screenshot of my kmenuedit on this address URL:http://users.telenet.be/tos4ever/downloads/schermafdruk4.png HTH, Martin -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
