How are you installing OOo? Are you using the Novell version from the DVD/CDs and installing via YAST? Are you trying to pull the updated version from the SUSE repositories? Are you trying to install the latest build that you downloaded from OpenOffice.org? What is this "certain vesion" and where are you getting this information about version from?

I'm using YaST2. I don't know how to tell if I'm "using the Novell version from the DVD/CDs". I started this by downloading the 10.2 DVD image from opensuse.org and burning a disk and then doing the original install from that. Then I expanded the search by adding sources. The configured software catalogs in YaST2 under "Installation Source" look like: On Off YaST cd:/// On On YUM http://suse.mirrors.tds.net/pub/suse/update/10.2 On On YUM http://www2.ati.com/suse/10.2 On On YaST http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/10.2/repo/oss On Off YaST cd:///?devices=/dev/hda I am using the Software Management option in YaST2 to install/remove/reinstall OpenOffice. This is in reaction to OO suddenly not working a couple days ago. I figured that the first thing to try would be to reinstall. Currently I have openoffice 2.0.4-38.5 installed, altho YaST2 displays this information in a strange way (it also shows three different versions of 2.0.4-38 being checked in the Product column and highlighted in gray -- no clue what that means). -Mike -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
