Dear all, Does anyone ever experience with pidgin error like :
Failed to execute child process "pidgin" (No such file or directory)
I installed it on my opensuse 10.2 from source (downloaded from pidgin.im) and after many many dependencies request, i finally got it installed. But unfortunately i still having that error and couldn't start pidgin.
If you just want to get it working, do as the other posters suggest. If you're interested in why it's not working, try building from scratch and pipe all output to a file (e.g. with configure [stuff] &> ../conf.log && make &> ../make.log or similar) then have a look through for warnings and errors. Another thing to consider is that you may be configuring some part of the build for an experimental platform, e.g. gtk2 on Cairo, so make sure all your dependencies are stable, supported ones (I'd think you could find that out on the pidgin website. Failing that, you could get an indication from the build options used in some source packages, e.g. the ones for OpenSuSE ) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
