Hey everyone,
after using Gnome for a very long time, I recently switched to the KDE environment (withhin my general switch to OpenSuse). So which browser should I choose? Konqueror is a native QT app and also integrates nicely with other KDE apps (like KDE Wallet) and furthermore it seems more lightweight than Firefox. On the other side Konqueror has problems with displaying some web sites. So what do you guys think? What are your experiences?
You are going to get a million opinions, but... ...I find FF to work "better" than Konq for most sites. As an added benefit, you can use it on Wintendo when you must downgrade. (I use XP at work for the most part.) I had tried to make Opera work for me, but find it has little "annoyances" that make it seem difficult. The one thing you'll like about Firefox - coming from Gnome - is that it still uses the GTK file open/save dialogs. I find that irritating but you will probabaly appreciate it. -- kai - theperfectreign@yahoo.com www.perfectreign.com || www.4thedadz.com www.filesite.org || www.donutmonster.com wo ist der ort für den ehrlichsten kuss ich weiss, dass ich ihn für uns finden muss... -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
