Having just updated my 10.2 system with the nvidia driver I cannot get horizontal image central. It is at least 50mm away from the left vertical edge of the monitor. I've tried both sax2 adjustment and adjusting the monitor direct. Anybody got ant tips?
Do you mean this one? https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=219948
Apparently the oss driver uses another (valid) modeline which seems to be valid but worse than the one used by the binary driver, which gets it right in my case. Since "valid" seems to rank higher than "working", I would recommend to use the binary drivers.
Sven I think this is probably the issue, but how do I get / install the binary drivers? I previously installed the nvidia drivers by using yast as per the easy way http://en.opensuse.org/NVIDIA
Try konvenientSUSE found at: http://kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=43378 It has a one button install. I have not tried this myself yet but the other items I have and like this for adding repos as well. -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989, linux since 1994, SuSE since 1998 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
