I am running the 64 bit version of OpenSuSE 10.1. The laptop has the following specs: Blade-K8F GW UMA Motherboard w/ R5485M and 1394. ATI RS485m chipset (Gateway says it is Radeon Xpress 1150) SigmaTel 9250 Sound SI3080 modem Broadcom 4311E wireless G GemTek WMIB-184GW ethernet
Now the boring part is done this is my problem. The wireless just does not work. I will work with that latter since I have a netgear PCMCIA card that is working.
Install 10.2 when it comes out (the kernel supports this chipset) and locate the package called bcm43xx-fwcutter-005-13 to install the firmware. Use it with the windows drivers that came with the laptop. I use it with the Linksys PCMCIA card and it works great.

I still do not have sound. We actually have some progress after the fresh install to 10.2 but there is no sound. It shows up within YAST as an ATI Multimedia device just as 10.1 did. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
