I just tried to use the DHCP for 10.1 and 10.2 for the X86_64. In both case, it fetched the ip address, set the dns, but it nvever set the gateway up properly. It points to x.x.x.1 as the gateway, and in my particular case it was x.x.x.15. I know it works, because the 10.1 version of of the 386 version worked without a hitch.
Is there a setting I need to set in the x86_64 bit version for this to work properly?
Same as i386. Check the variable DHCLIENT_SET_DEFAULT_ROUTE in Yast, System,/etc/sysconfig Editor, Network, DHCP, DHCP client. It should be yes. -- Joe Morris Registered Linux user 231871 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
