All, The issue was resolved by upgrading my FreeNX client to 2.1.0.6 A little surprising because the included SUSE 10.2 nxserver is still 1.5.0 and you are supposed to keep the client and server in sync from my understanding. Anyway, I have moved on. Thanks Greg On 12/12/06, Greg Freemyer <greg.freemyer@gmail.com> wrote:

nxserver --list is showing nothing. ie. it runs and shows column titles, but no sessions.
What's in /var/lib/nxserver/db/running?
Nothing at all.
OTOH, I'm accumulating sessions in /var/lib/nxserver/db/failed
A sample failed session file contains: sessionName=Forensic1000 display=1001 status=Failed startTime=1165939355 foreignAddress=10.0.1.118 sessionRootlessMode=0 type=unix-kde sessionId=B5FAB4D01449D8A4CC6E9AAD4C67358F creationTime=1165939355 userName=gaf serverPid= screeninfo=1152x834x16+render geometry=1152x834 host=127.0.0.1
Nothing obviously wrong there. (10.0.1.118 is my FreeNX client) 1152x834 is the resolution of my windows box running the FreeNX client
