Thanks for the tip, it worked. :-) I hadn't thought of looking in Factory for a stable package. I agree that OOo is a *big* package, but putting the 32bit on the x86_64 installation DVD? I'm not sure I can find any logic in that. Now I'm down to a handful of 32bit packages, but they can't removed until acroread or realplayer go 64bit. ;-) Thanks again and regard, How much bigger is the 64 bit package?
Just the main package is 107,7 Mo for x86_64 and 99,8 Mo in i586. The localization packages are the same size, and the KDE package is slighty bigger in x86_64 (+14 ko). This is largely balanced by the space I gain by removing useless 32bit packages on my system. :)
And of course, you can now use bigger words in Writer. ;-)
Oh boy, are these the bigger words I find in the dictionary? :--) -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989, linux since 1994, SuSE since 1998 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
