Hello, I just purchased a Belkin Wireless G desktop card.

I downloaded the necessary madwifi and madwifi kernel module for suse
10.1 from the web site.

I installed them, configured with yast2->network devices->network cards

I chose a static address the nameserver and
host name is set to primary secondary
hostname linux domain
default gateway to

I set the encryption to 128 bit wep and supplied my key.

I told it to use traditional method with ifup.

output of ifconfig shows the interface ath0 up with the correct
address/netmask and connected to the correct ap.

output of iwlist scanning returns my ap

output of route -n U 0 0 0 ath0 U 0 0 0 lo UG 0 0 0 ath0

this looks just like my wired connections and one other wireless
connection based on the broadcom chipset.

Problem, every time I try to ping a local machine it tells me that the
destination host unreachable.

Any ideas would be appreciated, as I need to get this machine
connected through the wireless so I can relocate it.
