Please pull from lower level time servers though. That is why Carlos' suggestions to use the <country code>.pool.ntp.org is a very great suggestion. Most of us are home/small business users and we have no need to touch the main stratum 1 ntp servers. That way we keep the traffic off those servers and distribute it to lower levels. One of our machines talking to a stratum 1 time server is not a huge deal but its the traffic generated by the hundreds of thousands of us that is the issue. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NTP_vandalism has a few examples.
