[opensuse] automatic printer configuration changes?

Hi, I've now seen it several times that for some reason SUSE automatically changes printer configuration. And most times to something that does not work. How is this possible? This seemed to happen yesterday to my HP Color Laserjet 1600. This printer seems to require using foo2zjs (http://foo2zjs.rkkda.com/) instead of foo2hp recommended by linux- printing.org. I had that installed, but yesterday printer stopped printing -> it appears that now system was trying to use non-working foo2hp.
