I installed it today as well and did the same "hmmm" when I noticed my 4 desktops replaced by one. The only real issue I have had with it is that KDE seems rather unstable now and when I boot my computer it is a "capshoot" as to which services will fail to start. In my panel I have 8 items that are to start on boot however now sometimes kinternet will be missing, or klipper, quite often profile chooser is absent. Each time I boot up I have to do a head count as to who decided to show up and who's absent. Any way that I can make sure these all start?
Thanks Dave
I had similar problems when I followed an older set of instructions and installed the provided packages. The instructions at: http://en.opensuse.org/Using_Xgl_on_SUSE_Linux include a link to updated packages which have worked great for me on several PCs. BTW, I just removed the pager from the panel on my systems. -- Louis Richards -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com
