Sorry to bother you again. Just tried the Reply on the ALE (Atlanta Linux Enthusiasts) List and it works right so it must be something in the list setup. On Fri, 2006-06-09 at 14:56 -0500, Kai Ponte wrote:
Kai, Sorry I didn't notice that hitting reply doesn't send back to list. Most mailings that I participate in automatically goes to list and not sender. Here is my last post along with an update
I wonder if there's someone we can talk to about that. I'm going to find out if I can reach the list moderator. I'm on several other lists and they all default reply-to the list. This is the only one I'm subscribed with which doesn't default to the list.
RPM'd file and Yast2 didn't find the newer ppd but gnome-control-center "sees" the printer as a local printer as opposed to a networked printer. HP-Toolbox (Applications -> System -> Monitor -> hp-toolbox) does not "see" it. I am not able to access the card reader or use the FAX.
So in Yast2 it's setup as a PSC2500 series, but gnome-control-center has it as HP PSC2610v.
Any ideas? TIA
Update:
went back to YaST and got ppd for 2600 selected; but now the URI shows it connected to ptal and not hplip. How do I change that? I've already removed the printer again and reinstalled, but I get the same. Without hplip the system does not "see" the scanner or the FAX.
Okay, wierd. I actually haven't installed this yet, as I just got an HP for my mom, who's still on 9.2, until I get around to upgrading her system to 10.0 or 10.1 in the next week or so. My system here at work running 10.1 is connected to an HP LaserJet 1320, so I didn't install hplip on it. All my other printers are Epson. I'm sorry but will look into it asap.
