Is there anyway I can convert DVD's (movies) into something I can edit? Or is there a way of editing them as is?
I usually use avidemux2 for editing video files. Be sure to install all available codecs. Add Packmans repository in order to accomplish this.
I can get them onto the hard drive disk and see them with Mplayer and I've tried Main Actor to edit them but I only get the first 2 seconds of the dvd.
Both MPlayer and Kaffeine work with unencrypted DVD's. For the encrypted ones, be sure to install libdvdcss.
I've tried googling but got bogged down with the technicalities of the vocabulary people use. SuSE 10.0
