how do I make the first cd bootable, or should I download the iso for the first cd.
Yes. Easier.
Cheers, Carlos Robinson Can't he just use the burn it with K3B using the ISO9660 image type?
Greg Wallace
from the command line in the directory your file.iso is
make a script called burn-cd0.sh put in it
#!/bin/sh time cdrecord -v -eject -fs=6m -tao dev=ATAPI:0,0,0 $1
then move it to /usr/bin and do chmod to 755
After that all you need to do is burn-cd0 filename.iso

Carlos Robinson replied to this that the OP "doesn't have the original image, just the files - meaning he doesn't have the booting part of the CD (El Torito or whatever).", so I don't know if your suggestion would work or not, but I'm forwarding this on to the list anyway (not sure why you sent it to me and not the list).
