Okey let's close this topic now.
SUSE Linux 10.1 did not become the great version we expected/hoped at release-time.
So let me tell you, I'm very happy with SUSE Linux 10.1. The package management isn't what it should be, but the rest works fine her. On my notebook 10.1 is the first SUSE, where realy everything works like it should including 3D Support with the free r300 driver, full acpi support (including the acpi buttons, I was long fighting for at Bug 61106).
It was a mistake to implement the new management when beta3 was allready out. We have learned from it and it will not happen again. At this moment the SUSE-team is working hard on it and we hope it will be fixed soon.
Right, it was a mistake, but when this will be fixed (and I think the SUSE-team will fix it in near future), I can say for myselve, SUSE Linux 10.1 is the best SUSE I ever had. -- Machs gut | http://www.iivs.de/schwinde/buerger/tremmel/ | http://packman.links2linux.de/ Manfred | http://www.knightsoft-net.de
