This is a very hardware-specific issue to resolve. Can you please identify the make and model "port replicator" we'll be discussing?
Also include some of the links you found but didn't understand.
This should give subscribers to SLE a bit more info to work with.

i ran xorgconfig and it solved my problem :) next time ill spend more time testing before asking for help ;) /Anders Bolinder
