Hi Art, First, checkinstall doesn't always work :-/ ... I alluded to this in my "if it successfully builds" phrasing. Also, you were supposed to use "checkinstall" *in place of* "make install". "man checkinstall" is an excellent read. If you ran "make" then "make install" ... did it install? ... does it work? - Carl
