Interesting......their sales staff says NO Linux support!
Historically, many ISPs would only support Windows and Mac or possibly just Windows or even just Windows 9x when NT and Win2K came out. From their standpoint, support means the training of the support staff and it frequently comes down to helping their customers configuring the system.
Yes.........and it all is done via someone reading off of a monitor. ;) The Linux "answers" could be made available to the tier 1 people just as easily as the MAC and 'Bloze material is. Now that Verizon is FINALLY making DSL available in some of our areas, anyway, I will be busy replacing 'Bloze with SUSE, as there are a number who have Net. access via Directway.....it's been their only choice for broadband access. I'm going to enjoy this year, I think. :) Fred -- Paid purchaser of ALL SuSE Linux releases since 6.x
