The patches are in /var/lib/YaST2/you/mnt/i386/update/10.0/rpm/i576 and noarch.
You need to be root to copy them to another place.
Cheers.
I should have said that this is when using OSS 10.0. There's no sign of the checkbox on any screen I see.
This applies only to YOU (YaST Online Update) and the screen that appears after you confirm the download and installation of new updates. At the bottom left, below the progress indicator bar, is a check box labelled "Remove Source Packages after Update." When checked, this tells YOU to remove the downloaded package files after the update is complete (don't let the phrasing confuse you, these are not source files in the usual sense, they're the sources of the update contents). It's setting takes effect when you confirm the completion of the package installation and go on to the last screen, where the SuSEconfig "Writing the System Configuration" output / progress is displayed.
