It seems you don't understand my problem. I don't care of the modification time, moreover I think that is good changing the modification time when the file content is changed. But I don't like that after this I won't be able to tell anymore when the given file was created. And this is an info that is important to me. It would be good if in addition to atime, ctime and mtime the files had a creation time that would not change when the files are copied, renamed or modified.
