Hello.
Does anyone know what may cause such a strange behavior of usb system (version 2.0): reading speed (from flash disk) ~5 MB/s writing speed (to flash disk) ~50 kB/s?
Data transfer to a USB Memory Stick is terribly slow by default, as the sync option to mount is enabled. To fix this, create a file called 90-storage-nosync.fdi with the following contents <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?> <deviceinfo version="0.2"> <device> <!-- disable sync for mount --> <match key="block.is_volume" bool="true"> <match key="volume.fsusage" string="filesystem"> <match key="@info.parent:storage.bus" string="usb"> <merge key="volume.policy.mount_option.sync" type="bool">false</merge> </match> </match> </match> </device> </deviceinfo> Copy this file as below and restart the HAL. cp 90-storage-nosync.fdi /usr/share/hal/fdi/policy/20thirdparty rchal restart
