Is it still supposed to work if both machines are CUPS Servers? I currently have one printer connected to each machine. Where does IP:631 go in the configuration. I do not recall it being there anywhere. THanks, On Wednesday 16 November 2005 00:26, Joe Morris (NTM) wrote:

I am running SUSE 93 on my desktop and laptop. I have used YAST to configure CUPS for both of these machines. Each one currently has one printer on it, however neither can see the printer queue from the other machine. I have set everything that I can think of.
What is reqiured for the two machines to share printers? Note I would prefer if both printers were on the desktop eventually.
Assuming you have basic networking working between both, just make sure cups client and server is allowed in your firewall. You should be able to see the other printer via the IP:631
