No more crude than it would be for me to remind -you- that the Battle of New Orleans was irrelevant in the War of 1812 -- the treaty ending it had already been signed 3 weeks earlier. Oh, and it was the only major land battle the USA won, unless you include the British failure to capture Fort Henry -- both times the US tried to invade Canada, however, it lost. ;)
