Hello, I'm back at trying SuSE after a switch to Debian. Most things in 10.0 seem fine but there are a few "problems" I don't seem to get hold of: - I tried setting the system to eject CDs/DVDs on unmount but this causes the drive doors to stay open - the system seems to eject if there is no CD. Might work with slot-ins but... Is this a bug or a feature? - My machine is a dual processor, so automatic powerdown won't work (because APM is not supported). The problem is that the graphic screen at shutdown hides the necessary information as to when shutdown has completed. I have not found a way to tell the system not to use graphics (so I have to hit ESC to know if I may shutdown). - On a less important matter, I managed to have most multimedia stuff working, however DVDRip still eludes me. I found the package and cured most dependance problems, but starting dvdrip brings a message saying that it "Can't locate Locale/TextDomain.pm ". I googled and even compiled some perl locale stuff, but it does not solve the problem. Maybe someone allready went though this and can explain what I do wrong? Not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself? Frank Zappa
