This has got to be a dumb answer but maybe you have to be superuser to move it to trash? The very prescence of such an option would indicate that such an option is not entirely ruled out for the object in question. Maybe you do not have the rights. What exact error message do you get upon trying to drag to trash? Thanks. I get this message when trying to drag to the trash: ========================================= You cannot move the volume "<name>" to the trash. If you want to unmount the volume, please use "Unmount Volume" in the popup menu of the volume. =========================================
FWIW, there is no such menu item. I suppose it is possible it requires root to delete it. That would be odd since it does not require root to create it. I just tried creating another while logged in as a normal user and it too has no delete entry. Looks like these things will just continue to build up forever with no way to get rid of 'em.
