^^^ I think this is the problem. You should try enabling swap for the installation.
I have two versions of SuSE (7.3 and 9.0) installed and running on that box, so it is definitely something inside the 9.2.
Memory requirements to do install have grown (unfortunately), 9.2 needs 256M at least. Although installed system runs just fine in lower memory (without X11, of course) HTH, -Kastus
