Hello, I am having trouble printing from OpenOffice 1.1 on Suse 9.2. I can print a test print, PDFs, and from other applications, but not OpenOffice. This is a network printer on a Windows domain. First try "lpr foo.txt" Where foo.txt is your text tile. If that does not work, try: "lpr -P<printer name> foo.txt" This should work. Check your printer queues also. You can do this either through CUPS (http://localhost:631), or with the lpq command. The lpr command uses /etc/printcap, and the first printer listed is the default. Set the printer up in OO as a generic printer - should already be set up. Then take a simple document, used the File menu print command. You should be able to select among the several printers you have set up. -- note that my printer at home is attached to my wife's PC, and I have no problems printing to it.
