Hey all, I'm running SuSE9.2 with KDE 3.4. I have some nice .vob files to use as background but can't seem to set this up. So far, I have tried to add following in Configure Desktop -> Background: - no picture - Advanced Options: - selected Use following program for drawing the background Added a new program as follows: Command: xine --root --no-logo --no-splash --hide-gui file:/media/dvd/video_ts/vts_01_3.vob#noaudio Executable: /usr/bin/xine If I remove the --root, a window pops up with the correct vob. However, when adding the --root, just a plain grey background is shown. Not even the normal X background, just a plain grey background. Is this the way to go about doing this? If not, how to make the background show a movie? If yes, what is wrong?
