Nope, I ran Yast as root only, it was a mistake that I mentioned $, it should have been # only. I ran it as root and I could also see the yast printer configuration module coming up on screen and trying to complete to 100%. Again it got stuck at the 50% mark while 'Loading Current Settings'. And I sent the log file that Yast generated in my last mail for your reference.
One more thing I observed was if you try to run yast2 from tha command line as user, it just says, command not found. So no question of the module coming up.
Then, go to yast, and reinstall the yast module handling printers (yast2-printer probably). Also, make sure your system is fully updated with YOU, as I said the other day. -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson
