bad: Scheduling while atomic! - during Suse 9.2 installation

Dear list members: I would like to install Suse 9.2 Pro from CDs onto my system. I do a clean install. After the installer has started formatting the hard disk the installer stops but the system does not freeze. Changing to tty4 there is a repeating bunch of messages scrolling through the screen. One of the messages says: bad: scheduling while atomic! I googled and found the this can be caused by a defective IDE- cable. I've checked my cable, a 80-pin connector, it's OK. What can cause this problem and how could then I install Suse? Thanks, IG
