For my sampling of programs, gdb doesn't seem to work with threads in SuSE 9.3 with all YOU updates as of Apr 26 2005. Details: (1) Running the small thread test program in gdb PR 1871 produces the same problems listed in 1871: gdb only sees one thread. I created PR 1928 in gdb's gnats DB. (The gdb PR query page is: http://sources.redhat.com/cgi-bin/gnatsweb.pl ) (2) Attaching to an executing Java VM, "info threads" shows no output at all, and most of the threads in the JVM still execute (i.e. the GUI repaints) even though gdb appears to have stopped the process. (2) Building either gdb 6.3 (release) or CVS head from Apr 26 2005, "make check" produces many FAILs in gdb.threads/linux-dp.exp. Is this problem something that should be reported directly to SuSE, and if so, who do I contact? Thanks much, Pete
